About City
Switzerland's central, northern, and eastern regions are all included in the metropolitan area that is centred in Zürich and is rapidly growing. It is one of the most multicultural and dynamic cities in Switzerland and serves as the nation's industrial, financial, and cultural hub. Green space may be found all around the city centre, all the way up to the Zürichberg slopes and to the shores of Lake Zürich, which are surrounded by lovely public parks.
The population of the city is made up of a variety of ethnic groups, with immigrants making up more than one-third of the total. Italy, the Balkans, Portugal, and Germany are the countries with the largest immigrant populations. Additionally, a limited number of immigrants from outside of Europe exist. The Limmat River, which flows from the north side of Lake Zürich through the city centre and out to sea to the west, runs along both shores of Zürich, as do the majority of the city's architectural elements.
