Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry

Born in the grass fields of North west Cameroon where I had a very difficult school and health life but I was bent on obtaining a terminal degree in area of environmental issues and health. This took me to Nigeria where I obtained a first degree in microbiology. With financial difficulties I came back to Cameroon engaged in some local jobs to raise money and go back to school. With this I finally got a terminal degree in the first half of 2021. Married with kids

12 years of experience in humanitarian aid works in North,East,North Central and Uva provinces,Sri Lanka.I have been involved in the implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation of projects. I acquired experiences on multi-millions dollar donor funded projects,donors such as EU,ECHO, UNHCR, UNICEF, FAO, AUSAID, USAID,JICA,Habitat for Humanity,OFDA,DRC,World Renew,Catholic Relief Services,Embassy of Japan,Embassy of Australia projects related to Agriculture,Livelihood,Small Medium Enterpise,Food security,Education,Water and Sanitation,Women empowerment,Social inclusion,Child protection,Community governance etc Though all of these areas, I am most passionate when it comes to the most vulnerable and marginalized communities in Sri Lanka.

Dr Suresh Kumar has completed Ph.D on “ Effect of deltamethrin on calcium homeostasis & Ionic balance in H. fossilis” in Toxicology from Industrial Toxicology Research Centre (CSIR-ITRC), Lucknow, He was awarded JRF-CSIR fellowship and Gold Medal for contribution in environmental biology by the Academy of Environmental Biology in 2016. He has published many research papers in International/ National reputed Journals and authors of four books and visited abroad like USA, UK and Port Louice to present & attended International Conferences and invited talks. Dr. Kumar have 20 years’research & teaching experience in Environmental Toxicology. At present he is working in Zoology deptt, to teach & guide undergraduate and post graduate students.

Aijie Wang is a Director of International Joint Institute of Environment bioenergy, Harbin Institute of Technology, China. Professor, State Key Laboratory of Urban Water Resource and Environment, China. Adjunct Professor, Oklahoma University, USA. She has received a PhD in Environmental Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology, China and Postdoc in Michigan State University, USA. She received 3 National Science Technology Awards and 4 provincial Science Technology Awards in the field of wastewater treatment and bioenergy. She is serving as an editorial board member of reputed journals e.g. Applied Environmental Microbiology. Guest Editor of International Journal of Environment and Pollution, and reviewer of 7 journals Environmental Science Technology, Applied Environmental Microbiology, Bioresource Technology, Journal of Hazardous Marterial, et al.

Ken-ichiro Inoue is Professor in School of Nursing, Shizuoka University, Japan. He received a PhD in Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine in, 2004. He has graduated Yamanashi Medical College (1995). He received “Young Investigator Award” from Japan Respiratory Association, Japan Hygiene Association. He is serving as an editorial board member of journals.

Weeberb Joao Requia has done his B.A. in Environmental Engineering Catholic University of Brasilia, Brazil in 2006 and his M.Sc. in Environmental Planning and Management from Catholic University of Brasilia, Brazil in2011. He pursued his Phd in Geoscience from Geoscience Institute, University of Brasilia, Brazil; and School of Public Health, Harvard University, United States (as doctoral exchange program). in 2015.Currently he is working as Researcher (Postdoctoral Fellow) in School of Geography and Earth Sciences McMaster University, Canada Involved in the following projects: 1) Socio-environmental costs and benefits of electric mobility in Canada; 2) Metropolitan traffic congestion in Canada; 3) Children`s exposure to criteria air pollution due to drop-off programs at school.

Human exposures to gaseous and particulate air pollutants ,spatial models to assess the relationship between air pollution and human health at local, regional and global scales which involves quantitative methods in GIS, land use models, geostatistical models, and multiple-criteria decision analysis.

Guohong Qiu has completed his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from College of Chemistry and Molecular Sciences (2001-2006) and B.S. in Environmental Science (1997-2001) from School of Resource and Environmental Science, Wuhan University, China.He is currently working as Professor in College of Resources and Environment, Huazhong Agricultural University

He has done some research on the formation, transformation and environmental effect (adsorption and redox behaviors) of typical minerals including manganese oxides, iron oxides, and iron sulfides; based on the charge−discharge principle of the supercapacitor and excellent adsorption properties of manganese oxides, manganese oxide-based electrodes were prepared to efficiently remove heavy metals from aqueous solutions.He has published more than 80 papers including 36 SCI papers as the first author or corresponding author. His research ID is E-5495-2012, and h-index is 17.

Dr. Renzhi Liu has received his Ph.D (Environmental Science) from the University of College of Environmental Sciences, Peking University (2011-2015), currently he is working as an Associate professor with School of Environment at Beijing Normal University. His research has been focused on carrying capacity of the environment, environmental risk, environmental planning and management, resulting in many published academic articles in Journal of Environmental Management, Journal of Environmental Informatics, Ecological Indicators, Geomorphology and so on. Up to now, he has hosted 2 National Science Funds, Sub-projects of 2 National Key Projects and 1 National “863” Project. Besides, he has hosted or participated in more than 20 consulting projects of environmental impact assessment and environmental planning in provincial or local level and provided a large number of expertise and advisory reports.
